CRIMEAN CANNONS - WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

Market Place
later Cathedral
Ripon
Yorkshire

After the Crimean War a large Russian Cannon, captured at Sebastopol, was set in position in the Market Place, near the Obelisk, as a trophy of the Crimean War. It was placed by the obelisk in April 1858, moved near to the Cathedral in 1896 and scrapped in World War II.

Unfortunately we have been unable to locate an image of the Ripon Crimean Cannon yet. Let us know if you have one that we could use.
